British tactician and former Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard has said Brazilian winger Estêvão Willian will give Chelsea boss Xabi Alonso a selection headache following a recent performance at Stamford Bridge.
The Reds legend made this known recently while speaking on the latest episode of The Overlap podcast.
His comment comes after Alonso gave Estevao his first Premier League start of the season against Manchester United last weekend.
The forward put in an outstanding performance and a great shift during the game, helping the Blues earn a 2-0 win over Micheal Carrick’s side.

Reacting to the performance of Estevao against the Red Devils, Gerrard said the Brazilian international could become a selection problem for Alonso when Joao Pedro returns from injury in the coming days.
The former England midfielder, who noted that the 19-year-old attacker is “exciting and great to watch”, added that he is desperate to “impress the manager”.
Speaking on the show, which is currently trending online, Gerrard claimed Estevao “is exciting and great to watch.”
He added: “He is desperate to impress the manager. And he is going to give Xabi Alonso a problem when Joao Pedro comes back, because Pedro Neto is a great player as well.”
