Relentless Zamfara bandits abduct another 50, kill four

Bandits in Zamfara have abducted 50 people barely a week after seizing 15 students from the state’s College of Animal Science in Bakura and another 60 people also in Bakura.

In the latest attack which occurred in Goran Namaye town in Maradun local government, four people were killed when the bandits stormed the community yesterday, August 22.

Zamfara state police Public Relations Officer, SP Muhammad Shehu added that the police tactical operatives had been deployed to the area.

The state commissioner of police, Yakubu Elkana has ordered immediate search and rescue operations for the victims, while urging residents of the state to be calm as there is an ongoing effort to bring the kidnappers to justice.
