Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday virtually attended the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Osinbajo had a surgical operation on his leg on July 16 at the Duchess International Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos.
Spokesperson for Osinbajo, Laolu Akande, had in a statement on July 25, said that the vice president has been discharged from hospital.
At the FEC meeting, President Buhari administered the Oath of Allegiance and the Oath of Office on three new Permanent Secretaries of the Federal Civil Service.
The Permanent Secretaries include Lydia Jafiya from Adamawa, Udom Ekenam from Akwa Ibom, and Farouk Yabo from Sokoto State.
Apart from Osinbajo, those in attendance at the FEC meeting were the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha; head of the Federal Civil Service, Folasade Yemi-Esan and the National Security Adviser (NSA), retired Gen. Babagana Monguno.

The Ministers of Finance, Budget and National Planning; Information and Culture; Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Zainab Ahmed, Lai Mohammed and Muhammed Bello respectively, as well as the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami also attended the meeting.
Others are the Ministers of Industry, Trade and Investment, Niyi Adebayo; Communication and Digital Economy, Prof. Ali Pantami; Power, Abubakar Aliyu; Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige; and that of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Farouq.
Other members of council participated in the meeting virtually from their various offices in Abuja.
