Nigerians have expressed mixed reactions following the news that a 24-year-old lady, Annastasia Michael, has volunteered to offer one of her kidneys to Sonia, the daughter of Senator Ike Ekweremadu.
Recall that the 25-year-old Sonia yesterday made an appeal to members of the public to donate a kidney to save her life.
In response to the appeal, Annastasia Michael took to her Facebook on Monday to say that she was ready to offer one of her kidneys to Sonia if none of her family members could do that, adding that it is to prove that women can help women.
Anastasia Michael also said she is donating for free, praying that her kidney should match Sonia’s.
She disclosed that she had already forwarded mail to the email address provided by Sonia.
Some Nigerian tweeps have praised Annastasia Michael for proposing to offer one of her kidneys without expecting a reward for it. But others think she is making the offer because of a future expected reward.

If any of her relatives mum, dad, and siblings, cannot give out their kidneys to save their Bloodline, Then i will donate my own to save Sonia and I demand nothing in return. I pray it matches with her own.
I am 24 years old, I don’t take alcohol, and I believe my kidney is very healthy to donate.
