The management team of popular Nigerian dancer and hype man Iweh Odinaka, better known as Poco Lee, has rejected claims that he is facing a “drink spiking” charge in a United Kingdom court.
This clarification was made via a public notice dated August 25, 2026, following online reports identifying the charge as one of the offences he allegedly committed.
Reports about Poco Lee’s alleged detention in the UK began circulating on social media on August 19, although details surrounding the alleged incident remain limited.
Since then, unconfirmed reports have listed “drink spiking” as one of the charges he will be defending when he makes a court appearance.

Refuting the claims, his handlers wrote: “We are particularly concerned by the volume of unverified narratives currently circulating, including claims referencing ‘drink spiking’, among other allegations, which do not form part of any of the allegations or charges before the court.
“We ask the public and media to desist from introducing details that are not part of the actual case, as doing so only fuels misinformation and causes unfair prejudice to all parties involved.”
The artist’s management also urged members of the public to allow the legal process to take its course, stressing that allegations should not be treated as proof of guilt.
“Allegations are not evidence of guilt, and no conclusions should be drawn until the matter has been heard and determined through the appropriate legal process,” the team added.
