Former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) winner and actress Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, better known as Phyna, has reacted to allegations levelled against her by fellow reality TV star Segun Olusemo, aka Sheggz, accusing him of assaulting his estranged girlfriend, Bella Okagbue.
She made the startling claim in a now-viral video shared on social media, in which she asserted that she had witnessed an incident of domestic violence involving the former couple.
Earlier, Sheggz confirmed that their relationship ended in January 2026 and was largely affected by trust issues alongside health challenges he was facing, rather than anything assault-related.
Reacting, Bella reflected in a lengthy social media post on her earlier decision to give the relationship another chance after it hit turbulence, concluding she had moved on because it was not worth it.
Wading into the saga after Sheggz alleged that she once smoked in his living room during a visit to his house, Phyna clapped back, saying she had never visited him.
While clarifying what transpired, the BBNaija star-turned-thespian argued that she had only stayed at Bella’s residence while visiting the couple.
Phyna further explained that she and Bella have maintained a close friendship over the years and supported each other through difficult periods.

She claimed she had stood by Bella throughout her relationship with Sheggz and helped her navigate several challenges.
The model accused Sheggz of repeatedly causing Bella emotional distress and disputed claims that Bella owed him N11 million, saying: “It is Sheggz who allegedly owes Bella more than N30 million.”
Phyna also questioned Sheggz’s criticism of her lifestyle, accusing him of using shisha, vapes, and laughing gas while condemning her over allegations of smoking.
She went on to allege that several women had contacted her with claims that Sheggz made plans to take them on private trips, but noted that she had chosen not to make the alleged evidence public.
She maintained that she had deliberately stayed away from the fallout between the former couple, but decided to speak out after what she described as false claims were made about her.
Warning Sheggz against dragging her into the dispute, Phyna insisted she would continue to defend Bella based on what she claimed to have personally witnessed during their four-year relationship.
Phyna said: “Don’t drag me into your mess.”
