Philanthropist Ciroma throws hat in Kaduna South Senatorial race

A philanthropist, Engineer Joseph Ciroma has revealed his intention to contest for a seat in the Red Chamber to represent Kaduna South Senatorial District on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ciroma, a known energy expert of international repute, a key player in Nigeria’s power sector is a living proof of good governance and unwavering believer in the tenets of global best practices and human resource management, a soft spoken, kind hearted and highly celebral person.
Speaking on Telephone conversations yesterday, he said, he intends to represent the good people of Kaduna South Senatorial District and his ambition has received overwhelming acceptability in the area
Born in Tande, Kagoma, a village in Jema’a local government area of Kaduna state, he started his educational career as far back in 1970 when he enrolled in Primary school in Aso, from 1970 to 1975, Government Secondary School, Funtua from 1975 to 1980, College of Arts and Sciences, Zaria from 1980 to 1982 and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, from 1982 to 1986, where he obtained BSc in Electrical Engineering. He also has a Masters degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy in 2004.
Ciroma said he would focus on a four-point agenda centred around youth development, infrastructure enhancement, security and agriculture.
He said: “The quest to serve my people informed my decision to contest for a seat at the Senate on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
According to him, he is going to the red chamber of the legislative House to ensure his district gets quality representation.
He stated that he was spurred to join the race due to the numerous encouraging words he has been receiving not only from the youths but by the people of the area both at home and Diaspora.
Engr Joseph Ciroma could be described as an epitome of what a true leader should be and known for his calm and composed demeanor. His leadership skills are exceptional, he has always been a role model for young generation of his profession as well as being a mentor to a teeming population of productivitely ambitious youths in and outside Kaduna state.
