Peter Obi applauds Hilda Baci’s resilience in showcasing Nigerian cuisine again with second Guinness World Record

Peter Obi has congratulated celebrity chef Hilda Baci for putting Nigeria on the map again with her her record second Guinness World Records (GWR) title for cooking and serving to more than 20,000 people the largest ever pot of jollof rice.
Hilda made the mark in Lagos on September 12, coming two years after she first shot to international fame with her first GWR for the longest cooking time of 93 hours and 11 minutes in the same city in 2023.
“New record: Largest serving of Nigerian style jollof rice, 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria,” GWR posted on X from London on September 15 to confirm her second achievement.
Obi – a presidential hopeful whose huge followers, the Obidients, are drawn from Gen Zers (with Hilda, 28, in that age bracket) – reiterated that her feat is a powerful symbol of what Nigerians can achieve when passion, hard work and opportunity are united.
“Let me again congratulate @HildaBaci on her extraordinary Guinness World Record for preparing the Largest Serving of Nigerian-style Jollof Rice, reaching 8,780 kilograms,” Obi posted on his Facebook page.
“This is a powerful symbol of what our people can achieve when passion, hard work and opportunity are united. It reflects the limitless potential that resides in our youth.
