Despite the defeat, Pedro was on the scoresheet for Chelsea. His strike during the match was his 15th non-penalty Premier League goal of the season for the West London club.

Prior to Pedro finding the net, a brace from Taiwo Awoniyi and a further goal from Igor Jesus had given the visitors an unassailable lead, securing the victory against Chelsea.

Reflecting on the performance of both himself and his teammates, Pedro admitted they were disappointing on the day.

“Everyone needs to have a look at themselves, me included,” the Brazilian said. “I feel sorry for the fans.”
