PDP defeats APC at Kano deputy governor’s polling unit

Results from the Kano state’s deputy governor’s polling unit, has shown that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) won the polling unit.

The Kano contest is a proxy war between former governor of the state, Rabiu Kwankwaso, whose son-in-law, Abba Kabir Yusuf is  seeking  to replace Abdullahi Ganduje of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

At the Magwan polling unit where Ganduje’s deputy cast his vote, the PDP polled the highest vote in the three polling units located there.

The results show that the PDP scored 76 votes while APC got 73 votes at the exact polling unit where the deputy governor voted.

At the other two polling units, PDP got, 63 while APC scored 48,  and PDP polled another 71 while the APC got 76.

PDP polled a total of 210 votes as against the APC’s 197.
