British Pundit and former Arsenal midfielder, Paul Merson, has said the singing of Crystal Palace attacking midfielder, Eberechi Eze, will boost Gunners’ chances of lifting the English Premier League (EPL) title.

He made this known on Sky Sports while discussing Arsenal’s move to bring the 27-year-old to the Emirates Stadium.

Eze recently agreed to join Mikel Arteta’s side this summer transfer window.

The England international snubbed a move by Arsenal’s north London rivals,  Tottenham in the process.

He was not included in Crystal Palace’s Europa Conference League squad against Fredrikstad on Thursday night.

Speaking on the controversial deal, Merson said Eze is perfect fit and a game-changer that will help Arsenal win the elusive Premier League title.

He went on to say he has the “X-factor” in tight games, adding that he can break a defence sitting deep down.

He said, “Eze is a brilliant signing. It is a game-changer, a perfect fit. He is got the X-factor and in tight games he has the ability to break a low block down.

“I think Arsenal win the league with Eze.”

The Gunners after missing out of top four positions for several years, finished second in the last three Premier League campaigns.
