Benue State Government has described trending reports on social media that the Speaker of the 10th State House of Assembly, Hon. Aondona Dajoh, has been removed by the State governor, Hyacinth Alia as “fake news”.

The govt made this known in a statement issued by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Media, Comr. Asortar James Asortar.

He added that contrary to the rumours circulating, Governor Alia was seen late Thursday night at the Government House inspecting newly acquired vehicles meant for some members of the Assembly in the company of the Speaker.

He went on to claim that the activity highlights the ongoing collaboration between the governor and the state legislators.
