Paul Merson says Arsenal will stay top of EPL going into World Cup

Paul Merson also predicted Wolves will lose 1-3 to league leaders, Arsenal on Saturday night, while EPL champions, Man City will beat Brentford 3-0

Arsenal legend, Paul Merson, has given his verdicts on the English Premier League (EPL) fixtures taking place on Saturday, November 12 and Sunday, November 13.

According to the former English midfielder, Wolves, who will host league leaders, Arsenal on Saturday night, will lose 1-3 to the North Londoners.

In the match between the EPL champions, Manchester City and Brentford at Etihad on Saturday afternoon, the host will defeat the visitors 3-0.

While top of the table clash between Newcastle United and the visiting  Chelsea on Saturday evening at St.James’ Park will end in a stalemate (1 all draw).  

If Paul Merson’s predictions come to reality, it means Arsenal will remain on top of the Premier League with 37 points going into the World Cup in Qatar, while Man City will be in second with 35 points.

Providing other predictions, Merson was quoted by Sportskeeda as saying:

Bournemouth 2-1 Everton

Liverpool 3-0 Southampton

Nottingham Forest 2-2 Crystal Palace

Tottenham 3-2 Leeds United

West Ham 1-2 Leicester City

Brighton 3-2 Aston Villa

Fulham 1-2 Man Ut

Merson after making his debut for Arsenal in the 1986–87 season, went on to play for eleven seasons in Gunner’s colours.  

At the North London club, he was a key player in the club’s success under Scottish manager George Graham, winning the Football League Championship twice, the FA Cup, the Football League Cup, and the European Cup Winners’ Cup.
