Controversial self-acclaimed journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, has exonerated the senior pastor of Salvation Ministries, David Ibeyeomi, of masterminding her arrest and imprisonment for six months.
In the last three days, Ibiyeomi has been in the news for verbally assaulting a radio host, Ifedayo Olarinde, also known as Daddy Freeze, and threatening to get him arrested for critiquing a sermon of the General Overseer of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo.
Nigerians who commented on Ibeyeomi’s attack and the threat of arrest of Daddy Freeze said that was how he also got Oluloyo arrested for peddling a rumour of adultery against him in 2017. But Kemi disowned those who pushed that narrative, arguing that it was one Keniebe Okoko, the billionaire spiritual son of Ibeyeomi that was behind her travail.
“#FakeNews Get your facts right: He (Ibiyeomi) did not do such. The record of my arrest is on file. His spiritual son, late 42-year old billionaire Keniebe Okoko ordered my arrest three times in 6 months. Pls, let me rest. Stop mentioning my name,” she said.
Olunloyo visited Ibiyeomi’s church after her release from prison. Some people said she went there to seek an apology. But she denied, claiming that her mission to the church was to curse the person who gave her the false information that landed her in trouble.
“Get your facts right: I didn’t APOLOGIZE to Ibiyeomie. I did a testimony at his church and laid a curse at someone at the end. Watch the video again and don’t mention my name again,” she said.
Ibeyeomi, who claimed Daddy Freeze is a Somalian, said he does not know his father, and was given birth to in a ship.
Ibiyeomie also said: “I will never be alive and see anyone insult my father, you are not born, I will kill you, I will tear you into pieces. Insult me I wouldn’t talk but insulting Oyedepo, I can’t be alive, you insult my father.”
He has come under fire for tacitly impugning on the reputation of not only the radio host but his mother, Smaranda Olarinde, a Romanian Nigerian law Professor.
Daddy Freeze, who took almost 24 hours to respond, says Ibiyeomie should be held responsible should anything happen to him.
