Bendel Insurance opened the scoring as early as the 2nd minute, temporarily silencing the vociferous Aba crowd.

Enyimba, however, fought back and equalised in the 18th minute through Abiodun Joseph.

The visitors then retook the lead in the 59th minute before Enyimba levelled again in the 66th minute, when Kalu Nweke scored from the spot.

The home team eventually sealed the win in the 69th minute when Chidera Michael fired home the winning goal.

The hard fought victory took Enyimba to the top of the NPFL table after picking up 11 points from five matches.
