Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, has imposed a three- day curfew in Umueri, Aguleri and Umuoba Anam.

This followed the mayhem that erupted in the area on Saturday.

The curfew, according to Obiano, will last between 7pm to 7am everyday.

The state government source confirmed that two persons were confirmed killed during the communal clash involving the two communities on Saturday while buildings and vehicles were burnt.

Already, the Joint Task Force Team (JTF) has taken over security in those communities to quell the situation.

Aguleri is Obiano’s community, while Senator Emma Anosike hails from Umueri.

The two neighbouring communities had been on war path since 1998.
