Obi praises Arase’s patriotism, professionalism as late IGP is laid to rest
Former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has paid tribute to former Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase.
In a post on his official X account, @PeterObi said Arase’s contributions to national security and his reforms within the Police Force will remain impactful.
He said: “Today in Benin, Edo State, I attended the Funeral Mass and Interment of former Inspector-General of Police, Dr. Solomon Arase, who served our nation with patriotism and dedication.
“At moments like this, we are reminded that true legacies are not written in the titles or positions we hold, but in the values we uphold and the impact we leave behind.
“Dr. Arase’s contributions to national security and his reforms within the Police Force will remain impactful in our dear nation.
“On behalf of my family and the Obidient family, I extend my deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. May God grant them strength and comfort in this difficult time, and may his soul rest in perfect peace.”
