Obaseki mourns Ekhomu’s death

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has mourned the passing of renowned private security expert, Dr Ona Ekhomu, describing him as a “respected and resourceful Edo son.”

The governor, in a statement, said Ekhomu’s passing was painful and saddening, noting that he was an illustrious son of the state, who distinguished himself in his chosen endeavour.

According to Obaseki, “I am saddened by the news of the death of Dr Ona Ekhomu, a respected and resourceful Edo son, who made the state proud by his exploits in his chosen profession.

“He was cerebral, articulate and composed, bringing his knowledge and expertise to bear in proffering solutions to Nigeria’s security challenges.

“His incisive and wise counsel will be sorely missed, even as we pray that God will grant his family, friends and associates the fortitude to bear this painful loss,” he added.
