An activist, Aisha Yesufu, has queried the Nigerian military for not launching air and ground assualt against the terrorists, Boko Haram, after the killing of more than 100 farmers on Sunday, November 29.

The United Nations reported that 110 farmers in a Borno village were killed in a single Boko Haram attack. The military, however, said the number of deaths were about 47.

Worried by the silence of the military on what measures were being taken to bring the terrorists to book, Yesufu said the silence gives the impression of a gentleman’s agreement between the Boko Haram and the military.

“One should expect bombs dropping in Boko Haram hideouts by now. One should be hearing of air strikes and ground force action from military. It is an eerie silence. Is there some sort of gentleman’s agreement to look the other way between the terrorists and Nigerian military?” she queried.

But @jibrilnaallah replied Yesufu: “You speak just like the way a spectator watching football will do, He sees all the mistakes from outside the football pitch. Its not just by mere mouth talk ooo.”

@kris_3536 fired at @jibrilnaallah: “Chief Coach Speak let’s hear.”

@Gabriel1Isaiah said: “We don’t have military that can tackle terrorism in Nigeria. We have military that can tackle legitimate and peaceful protesters with live bullets.”

@GbanAnybody tweeted: “There’s one TV station that has different types of air strike view and they always save it for 10pm once they just want to report that air force did airstrike they will just play any one at random to the public and report there was airstrike then move on to the next news. “
