Real Madrid manager José Mourinho has acknowledged that Premier League champions Arsenal are one of the most difficult teams to beat in this season’s UEFA Champions League (UCL) campaign.
The Portuguese tactician made this known on Wednesday night while addressing reporters after his team came from behind to beat Roma 4-3.
The result means Madrid now have six points from their first two fixtures, following their victory over Inter Milan before the international break.
Prior to the win, Arsenal convincingly dispatched French side Lille in the same competition on Tuesday night, thrashing the visitors 3-0.

However, despite claiming all six available points in their first two games, Mourinho admitted to journalists that Arsenal are a much tougher opponent than the two teams he has faced so far.
He said, “We have now secured six points against two very strong opponents, Inter and Roma.
“I’m not saying they are the best, because Arsenal are still there.”
Madrid will play RB Leipzig, AEK Athens and PSV next, before travelling to face Arsenal at the Emirates on December 9.
