Liverpool youngstar, Rio Ngumoha, is eligible to don the jersey of the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The 16-year-old made the headlines on Monday night after helping the Reds to see off stubborn Magpies with a sensational 100th-minute winner.
With the feat, the winger also wrote his name into the Premier League champions’ history books.
Ryan Gravenberch’s low drive gave Liverpool the lead against the run of play, before Anthony Gordon was sent off for a tackle on Virgil van Dijk.
At the start of the second half, Hugo Ekitike doubled the visitor’s advantage, making it two goals in as many games for Arne Slot’s men.

Bruno Guimarães pulled one back with a powerful header, before substitute William Osula equalized in the 88th minute.
However, with barely a minute left on the clock, Dominik Szoboszlai stepped over a cross for Ngumoha to sweep the ball home.
The goal made the teenager Liverpool’s youngest ever Premier League goalscorer.
Born in England to Nigerian parents, Ngumoha has already represented his country of birth, England at youth level.
He is, however, eligible to switch allegiance and play for Nigeria at the senior level.
