Ikpeba says Nigeria ‘ll beat 2026 WCQ Group C opponents, Rwanda, South Africa

Pundit and former Nigerian winger, Victor Ikpeba, has backed the Super Eagles to get their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign back on track with victories over Rwanda, and South Africa.

He made this known recently while appearing as a guest on a SuperSport’s programme.

Nigeria on September 6, will welcome the Amavubi of Rwanda in Group C matchday seven encounter scheduled for the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.

They will then travel to Blomfeinteim four days later for the clash with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.

Eric Chelle’s men have so far picked up just one win from six games in the qualifying series.

The West Africans occupy fourth position in their group with seven points from six games.

Despite this, Ikpeba believes the Super Eagles will get the job done in the upcoming games.

According to the ex-Monaco winger, Nigerian players are “determined” to garner the six points at stake.

“There’s pride, determination and honour to play for your country, I believe the boys are now ready and determined to do the job against Rwanda and South Africa.” ikpeba said. 

The Super Eagles camp for both games will open next week Monday.
