National Basketball Association (NBA) superstar, Steph Curry, has backed Lionel Messi-led Argentina to beat European champions, Spain, in the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
He tipped the reigning champions to lift the trophy for a second consecutive time in a comment quoted by All About Argentina on X.
Argentina head to the tournament final after beating England’s Three Lions in the semi-final to book a place in the eagerly anticipated game.
Spain, on the other hand, defeated pre-tournament favourites France 2-0 in the semi-final to qualify for the final.

When asked who he feels will lift the World Cup trophy on Sunday, Curry argued that it is difficult to go against Inter Miami star, Messi.
He further noted that the fate of Lionel Scaloni’s men is in their own hands.
Predicting who will win the final, the Golden State Warriors point guard said: ‘It’s hard to go against Messi.’
Curry added: ‘It seems like fate is in their hands. Sunday is going to be fun.’
