Muslims, others get born again at UAMC confab

It was usual harvest for the Almighty at Ajido in Badagry Local Government Area of Lagos State when members of the United African Methodist Church (UAMC) organisation held its 74th Annual Conference in the quiet and peaceful town.

At the end of the vigil, Muslims, traditionalists and secret cult members were converted to Christianity.

With the theme, ‘The satisfaction of God’s blessings’ taken from Joel 2:26, the conference, the second by the organisation in Ajido since 1996 when the town first hosted the members, turned out to be an avenue for unbelievers to give their souls to Christ.

The conference kicked off with the Ministers’ forum where the men of God took stock of activities in the past year and proffered solutions as well as mapped out strategies for the New Year.

Secretary of the Clergy Council, Rt. Revd. Noah Olabisi (JP), described the vigil as successful, while urging all those converted not to backslide.

He said: “One thing is to give ones live to Christ and another is to stay and abide with the God’s directives.

“Once you give your life to Christ, He takes control of your life and you shall be satisfied and praise His name that had dealt wondrously with you and you shall never be ashamed.”

For Rt. Revd. Adedayo Ojaoba (JP), the Bishop of the Lagos Group of Circuits of the organisation, the end time is near and people should come closer to God.

Before the vigil, the organisation had anointed 15 evangelists.
