Mohbad’s wife Wunmi claims father-in-law bullies her over DNA test on grandson

Wunmi Aloba, widow of afrobeats musician Mohbad, has described herself as “the most bullied widow” in Nigeria, claiming that her father-in-law Joseph Aloba is bullying her and turning people against her by demanding a DNA test for her son, Liam.
“I have nothing to hide. I don’t have an issue with my father-in-law asking me for a DNA test, but it’s the way he is going about it. Presently, I am the most bullied widow in Nigeria,” Wunmi disclosed TVC’s programme Your View.
She said she and her father-in-law were best friends before Mohbad’s death and it was he who pressured her and Mohbad into having a child when they weren’t ready, influencing them through fasting and prayer.
Mohbad died on 12 September 2023, and less than 24 hours later, his father buried him in Ikorodu, Lagos. His body was exhumed on September 21 for an autopsy due to controversies surrounding his death.
The results of the autopsy are still pending, but Joseph Aloba has previously stated that Mohbad’s body would only be reburied when the autopsy results are released and a DNA test is conducted on his grandson Liam to ascertain his true paternity.
