Nigerian singer, Akinmayokun Awodumila, better known as May D has told his fans and other netizens not to compare him to any of his colleagues, especially Afrobeats star, Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid.
Speaking via a now viral tweet on his X page, the ‘Soundtrack’ crooner, claimed he is a special breed that cannot be compared to anyone.
“Don’t ever compare me to anyone in this industry again !! Especially wiz!! I’m a different breed! God’s baby,” he stated in a now trending post on social media.

Prior to this development, May D had claimed he would have risen beyond Wizkid’s level if he had not fallen out with his former record label, Square Records.
He added that he was on the same with the ‘Ojuelegba’ singer and Davido before his fallout with his former record label.
May D rose to prominence after signing with Square Records in 2011.
However, in August 2012, the label announced that it has parted ways with the singer.
