League Two side, Grimsby Town pulled off one of the biggest upsets in football history after sending Premier League giants, Manchester United packing from this year’s Carabao Cup.
It appeared the Red Devils had rescued themselves in the nick of time after finding themselves two goals down following a truly awful first-half display, with returning goalkeeper Andre Onana at fault for Grimsby’s second.
Goals from Charles Vernam and Tyrell Warren in the 22nd and 30th minutes respectively sent the home crowd into raptures at the Blundell Park

However, United pulled one back through substitute Bryan Mbeumo before Harry Maguire powered in a header in the final minute.
The game went straight to penalties, and after 11 spot-kicks between the two teams, Mbeumo smashed his effort against the bar.
Grimsby’s progression into the next round of the completion later triggered a pitch invasion from the jubilant home fans.
