The lady added that she later asked him why he paid for just his meal and he responded saying he did because she was greedy

A Nigerian lady, identified simply as Sonia, shared her not-so-pleasant experience with a guy, who ended up paying for just his food after he took her out on a date.
She took to social media to display her WhatsApp conversation with the man who made her pay for her meal despite initiating the date.
Sonia said she met him on the microblogging platform, Twitter and after chatting for a while, he invited her on a date to a grandiloquent restaurant.
She further narrated that on getting to the restaurant, her date ordered a pie and bottled water, while she ordered for Chinese delicacy worth N16,500.

However, trouble started when it was time to pay for their meal, and the young man opted to pay for his meal alone and asked her to settle her bills.
Sonia said in a bid not to cause a scene and embarrass herself, she paid for her meal but remained curious as to why her date acted in such an ungentlemanly way.
She decided to confront him on WhatsApp and he responded by saying he did not pay because she ordered Chinese spag worth N16,500 while he ordered just a pie and bottled water.
Sharing her thoughts on Twitter, she wrote, “Met this guy on Twitter, asked me out on a date, I took my order just like he did, but when the bills were brought, he asked me to pay for mine.
” I got confused, but I no go allow make one yeye boy shame me. I paid and left, I asked about it this morning and he said this. (sharing the chat where the guy explained his action)”
After her post, the online community joined in on the conversation, but while few people supported her, majority questioned her decency and asked if she would order such a meal if she was paying.
Some reprimanded her saying she got what she deserved after she acted like a truly ‘greedy lady‘.
