Kogi grassroots mobiliser Jibrin Isah quits SDP, returns to APC
A prominent grassroots mobiliser and chieftain of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the Ajaka Ward 1, Igalamela local government area of Kogi State, Jibrin Isah, has officially defected and rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Isah, who was the director of Digital and Social Media for the SDP in Kogi during the 2023 governorship contest, formalized his return at a ceremony held in his Ajaka Ward 1, attended by influential APC political figures from the area.

An original member of the APC, Isah had previously left the party to support the 2023 governorship ambition of the former SDP candidate, Murtala Ajaka, citing family ties as his reason.

In an interview with newsmen, Isah explained his decision to return to the APC, describing his experience in the SDP as “disappointing.” He stated that the SDP “lacks the focus and discipline which were misaligned with his values.
