Kidnappers collect N14m ransom plus a bag of rice, 12 chickens, and telephone recharge cards, but fails to release victims

The victims were abducted at about 5.45pm on April 25  at Eleyin village, via Isanlu-Isin in Kwara South Senatorial District, while travelling from Abuja to Offa.

Two children left behind in the vehicle were rescued by police.

Seven other passengers were abducted and their whereabouts remain unknown.

Victims recently abducted in Kwara are still held captive despite payment of N14 million demanded by the kidnappers who have turned round emboldened to demand additional N10 million to free the seven people, to the shock of families and friends.

One of the relatives told Vanguard that the criminals had promised to release the victims on Tuesday upon N14 ransom payment, but reneged and demand another N10 million after collecting the original sum.

The source, who pleaded anonymity, said besides the N14 million, the kidnappers collected a bag of rice, 12 chickens, and telephone recharge cards.

The victims were abducted at about 5.45pm on April 25  at Eleyin village, via Isanlu-Isin in Kwara South Senatorial District, while travelling from Abuja to Offa.

Two children left behind in the vehicle were rescued by police.

Seven other passengers were abducted and their whereabouts remain unknown.

They were abducted along with the driver enroute Offa from Abuja in a Sienna bus, mark KWARA FFA 50XD, owned by a transport company in Offa in Kwara.
