Kano APC chairman killed by gunmen
The All Progressives Congress chairman for Rantan Ward in Bebeji Local Government Area of Kano State, Alhaji Garba Buba, and another resident, Sulaiman Zunduma, have been killed in a fresh attack on the community.
The victims were killed on Sunday night when suspected gunmen invaded Rantan community and opened fire on residents, forcing many to flee their homes for safety.
A resident, Hamza Isah Rantan, who confirmed the attack in a Facebook post, said the gunmen stormed the community at night and shot at residents.
Hamza said Buba was shot inside his residence and later died at a hospital, while Zunduma was killed instantly after being shot during the attack.
He wrote, “On Sunday night, kidnappers attacked our town, Rantan, where they shot Alhaji Garab Buha, the APC ward chairman in Rantan, who later died in a hospital. They also killed another resident, Sulaiman Zunduma. We pray that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings and heals the injured.”
