Kachikwu also wondered why the INEC chairman made such a pronouncement when the case is still in the court.

African Democratic Congress (ADC) 2023 presidential candidate, Dumebi Kachikwu, has said the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognise former Senate President, David Mark, as the National Chairman of the party is “irresponsible”.
He made this known on Thursday while featuring as a guest on Channels Television programme, ‘Politics Today’.
INEC on Wednesday officially recognised the David Mark-led leadership of the ADC.
Alongside Mark, other principal officers now officially acknowledged by the electoral umpire include Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as National Secretary, Dr. Ibrahim Mani as National Treasurer, Akibu Dalhatu as National Financial Secretary, and Professor Oserheimen Aigberaodion Osunbor as National Legal Adviser.
Reacting to the development, Kachikwu said that he had never had faith in the current leadership of the electoral body.

He also wondered why the INEC chairman made such a pronouncement when the case is still in the court.
He said, “What we saw from the INEC chairman was another irresponsible act from the outgoing chairman of INEC.
“It is a norm that when you have cases that are in court, you respect those cases that are in court, and you shouldn’t do anything that will affect the outcomes of those cases.
“The courts are sitting on our matter with David Mark and co next month, and Nigerians will see the rulings after the courts sit.”
Kachikwu added that Nigeria is considered a failed nation by many because of recycled politicians who had failed to provide good leadership and would further destroy the country if allowed to return to power.
