Fayose, despite being a chieftain of major opposition party, PDP, has openly endorsed Gov Oyebanji who is of the ruling APC.

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has asserted that the incumbent governor of the state, Biodun Oyebanji will be re-elected, adding that his victory will silence his detractors and fake prophets.
He made these known in a recent statement he made available to the journalists.
According to Fayose, it is Oyebanji’s performance that will be remembered during the upcoming governorship election and not fake prophecies.
The Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) chieftain added that there is no room for psychological prophecies and empty predictions that lack genuine insight in Ekiti.

He said: “In Ekiti State’s political landscape, one thing is clear: Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s re-election is a foregone conclusion due to his impressive track record and the people’s faith in his leadership. The people of Ekiti have spoken loud and clear through their actions.
“As Ekiti State prepares for the next phase of its development, it’s clear that Governor Oyebanji is the people’s choice.
“His leadership has earned him a mandate that transcends party lines, and his commitment to the people of Ekiti is unwavering. In the end, it’s Oyebanji’s performance that will be remembered, not empty prophecies.”
Although Gov Oyebanji is of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Fayose, who is of the PDP, has openly endorsed and campaigned for him.
