Juventus sack Igor Tudor following eight-game winless run

Juventus, who are six points behind leaders, Napoli, currently sit eighth in the league.

Italian giants, Juventus and Croatian tactician,  Igor Tudor, have parted ways after just seven months.

His sacking was announced in a statement issued on Monday following Sunday’s 1-0 away loss to Lazio.

“The club thanks Igor Tudor and his entire staff for their professionalism and dedication over the past few months and wishes them all the best for their future careers,” the Juventus statement read.

The Serie A outfit went on to say Massimiliano Brambilla will take charge of the side for their Serie A fixture against Udinese on Wednesday (17:30 GMT).

Tudor joined the Old Lady in March as Thiago Motta’s replacement, but has overseen an eight-match winless run, which has left the club eighth in the Serie A table.

The defeat against Lazio on Sunday was the side’s third consecutive loss in all competitions.

Juventus, who are six points behind leaders Napoli, currently occupy the eighth position on the league table.

They are also 25th in the Champions League group stage table, having lost once and drawn twice in their opening three matches.
