British pundit and former striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has suggested that England forward Marcus Rashford will not don Manchester United’s shirt in the 2026/2027 season.
The former Aston Villa captain made this prediction recently while discussing the future of the 28-year-old on talkSPORT.
Rashford spent the 2024/2025 season at Premier League outfit Aston Villa before being loaned out again to La Liga giants Barcelona last season.
While with the Spanish club, he made 30 appearances and scored eight goals. However, Barcelona opted not to activate his buy-out clause at the end of the campaign.

Wading into the forward’s situation at his parent club, Agbonlahor said Rashford’s relationship with Michael Carrick’s side is over, adding that he will leave Old Trafford before the summer transfer window closes.
He further noted that the player is unlikely to accept a different squad number after losing his number 10 shirt to Matheus Cunha.
Speaking about the Three Lions forward’s next move on air, Agbonlahor said: “His original jersey number was taken by Matheus Cunha.
”I don’t think he will be willing to come back, change his number, and only serve as a substitute.
”I think Rashford and Manchester United’s relationship has come to an end, and he will definitely leave before the transfer window closes.”
