ICPC sensitises aviation staff on ills of corruption

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has sensitised aviation workers on the negative impact of corrupt practices and how to avoid them.

 

The ICPC organised a workshop at the Anti-Corruption Academy of Nigeria (ACAN), Keffi for officials of NAMA, NCAA, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Accident Investigation Bureau, Nigeria Meteorological Institute, the Customs, Navy, Immigration, airport police, cargo handlers, and airlines, among others.

Topics treated included Effective Communication: A Veritable Tool for Entrenching Transparency and Accountability; Work Ethics and Integrity in Public Service; Ethical Issues in the Aviation Sector: Departure and Arrival at the Airport and International Standards and Best Practices in aviation.

 

The Aviation Ministry launched a partnership with the ICPC on December 9, 2014 for anti-corruption initiatives to improve service delivery in aviation.
