A northern group, Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG), were chased out of a meeting to review the security situation of the north.
The meeting was disrupted midway by the hoodlums who came with cutlasses and other dangerous items.
The coalition had converged on Arewa House, Kaduna, to discuss the insecurity in the northern region when the armed thus broke into the hall.
It is not clear who sent the thus to the meeting to disrupt it.
It is also not clear if the meeting would still hold because it was supposed to be a two-day event slated for 14-15 December at the Arewa House, Kaduna.
When the thus stormed the meeting, they turned the tables, messed up the seat and vandalised properties.
Those who were chased out of the meeting included; security experts, traditional and religious leaders, groups, civil society, businesses community, government, trade, youth, opinion leaders and women associations from each of the 19 northern states.
