Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has claimed that “a lot of people” do not want the Gunners to win this season’s English Premier League (EPL) title.
The former France forward and television pundit made the comments during a recent appearance on Monday Night Football.
With just seven matches remaining, Mikel Arteta’s side sits nine points clear of second-placed Manchester City.
Following Arsenal’s 2-0 win over a resilient Everton and City’s 1-1 draw with West Ham, the Gunners look increasingly likely to end their 22-year wait for a league title.

However, Henry, while analysing the possibility of them lifting the trophy, insisted that his former team does not enjoy widespread neutral support.
He noted that while people naturally tend to root for the “underdog”, that sentiment doesn’t seem to be extending to Arsenal.
“I wanted them [Liverpool] to win the league because I wanted Jamie [Carragher] to win the league, Stevie G [Steven Gerrard] to win the league,” Henry said.
”Whether I like Liverpool or not, you root for the underdog—the team that hasn’t done it, or has failed to win the league. [But] a lot of people don’t want Arsenal to win the league.”
