Group mobilises grassroots support for Tinubu’s re-election across 18 Ondo LGAs

The Ondo State Patriotic Movement for Democracy (OSPMD) has commenced a statewide mobilisation campaign in support of the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, spreading its activities across all 18 local government areas of the state.
The group disclosed this in a statement jointly issued by its conveners and Secretary General, Hon. Ariyo Arije and Hon. Alabi Julius, alongside the Women Coordinator, Princess Akinrimade Patience Àdùnní, and the State Treasurer, Mrs. Febisola Akinniranye.
According to the statement, the mobilisation drive is targeted at strengthening grassroots participation and ensuring widespread support for the President’s second term ambition.
The OSPMD noted that the campaign is already gaining traction among key segments of society, particularly market women, artisans, traders, youth groups, and other informal sector stakeholders.
It explained that these groups constitute a critical voting population whose voices and participation would be decisive in shaping the outcome of the next general election.
The movement further stated that sensitisation meetings, community engagements, and door-to-door consultations have been outlined as part of strategies to reach voters at the grassroots.
OSPMD leaders emphasised that the mobilisation effort is not only political but also aimed at educating citizens on the policies and programmes of the current administration.
They expressed confidence that President Tinubu’s economic reforms and governance initiatives would continue to yield positive outcomes that justify another term in office.
The group also called on residents of Ondo State to remain united and support leadership that prioritises national development and stability.
It reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining the mobilisation campaign until every eligible voter in the state is reached ahead of the forthcoming elections.
