France will now face the winners of the quarter-final clash between Spain and Belgium in one of the last-four fixtures of the tournament.

France defeated the only African country remaining in the 2026 World Cup, Morocco, 2-0 to book their place in the semi-finals in an encounter played at the Boston Stadium on Thursday.
Les Bleus were bidding to reach their third successive World Cup semi-final, while the Atlas Lions were hoping to qualify for the last four for the second time in their history.
Kylian Mbappé squandered a golden opportunity to fire France into the lead in the 28th minute against Morocco after missing a penalty.

He, however, made up for his mistake in the 60th minute when he took the ball on the edge of the box and curled it into the far corner.
The brilliant goal put the Real Madrid striker back level with Lionel Messi at the top of the Golden Boot standings.
France doubled their lead six minutes later when Ousmane Dembélé drove into the space left by Mbappé’s run and found the bottom corner.
Following the convincing win, Didier Deschamps’ men will now face the winners of the quarter-final clash between Spain and Belgium in one of the last-four fixtures of the tournament.
