First Lady Remi Tinubu bags chieftaincy title in Imo

First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has been conferred with the chieftaincy title of “Oso Di Eme 1” of Imo State.
The title, which translates as “She who supports her husband”, was reportedly conferred to her on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 during her visit to Imo State.
The conferment was disclosed by the First Lady’s Senior Special Assistant On Media, Bukola Kukoyi, accompanied by photographs of the ceremony on her X handle.
Kukoyi said that the title was in recognition of the First Lady’s role, alongside her husband President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the administration of this country.

The honour comes months after she was conferred with the chieftaincy title of Ugosimba I of Enugu in June 2026.
The Enugu title, which translates as “Jewel of Empowerment” in Igbo, was conferred in recognition of her efforts towards women’s empowerment and social development across the country.
