The reports claimed FIFA chief, Gianni Infantino, had been considering extending football matches from the normal 90 minutes to 100 minutes or longer for a while but will finally implement it at this year’s World Cup.

However, FIFA has put paid to such thought on its official Twitter handle, insisting that even if such innovation is in the works, it will not be implemented in this year’s tournament.
