Femi Falana SAN, a lifelong rights activist and government critic, has decried the policies of Bola Tinubu creating two classes of Nigerians pitted against each other: the elite – among them his “top officials” – milking the system and gloating about it, and the masses whose living standards deteriorate daily and are groaning.

Falana argued on Channels Television that the economic policies of the President have benefitted only the rich, as the vast majority of Nigerians are struggling to survive.

He said some top officials of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are celebrating Tinubu’s second anniversary, falsely claiming he has performed well.

“For members of the government – and I’m talking of top officials – it’s been very rosy. One of them was singing a week ago that things are getting better.

“Of course, for the rich, the bourgeoisie, things are getting better.

“But for the masses of our people, things are getting tougher because they are going through an excruciating economic crisis.”
