Former Spartak Moscow winger Vladimir Bystrov has said his country, Russia, will emerge 3-1 winners when they face the Super Eagles of Nigeria in an international friendly.
The former Russian international made the prediction on the latest episode of the YouTube show It’s Football, Brother!.
Russia and Nigeria will meet at the Sovcombank Arena in Nizhny Novgorod on Tuesday.
Their last meeting in June 2025 ended in a 1-1 draw, with Tolu Arokodare cancelling out Semi Ajayi’s own goal.

The European nation sent a subtle reminder to the Super Eagles on Saturday that they will be facing a tricky tie, thumping Namibia 6-0 in an international friendly.
Speaking ahead of the clash between the two countries, Bystrov said the game will be physical and would see a penalty kick being awarded.
While analysing the encounter on the show, he said: “I think there will be a penalty.”
The 42-year-old former right-winger, who played for Russia 47 times and scored four goals, went on to label Nigerian defenders as “bone-breakers”.
Bystrov added: “These bone-breakers will 100% bring someone down in the penalty area. And the score is 3-1.”
