Russia have sent a subtle reminder to Nigeria’s Super Eagles that they will be facing a tricky tie when they clash, after thumping Namibia 6-0 in an international friendly on Saturday.
The hosts, who held a slender 1-0 lead at half-time in the encounter played at the Ekaterinburg Arena in Yekaterinburg, went into overdrive in the second half to seal a comfortable victory.
Lechi Sadulaev put Russia ahead in the 37th minute before Danil Prutsev extended the lead nine minutes after the restart.
Konstantin Tyukavin added a third in the 65th minute, while Maksim Glushenkov made it 4-0 with six minutes of regulation time remaining.
