Ex-Atalanta midfielder Adopo tips Lookman to score in Atletico Madrid’s UCL clash against Arsenal

Former Atalanta midfielder Michel Adopo has backed his former teammate, Ademola Lookman, to find the net when his team, Atletico Madrid, visit Arsenal in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final tie.

The 25-year-old Frenchman made the prediction during a recent interview with The Sun.

Arsenal will host La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid in the European competition on Tuesday at the Emirates Stadium in London.

Both teams played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg of the encounter last week at The Riyadh Air Metropolitano in Spain.

Speaking ahead of the return leg, Adopo said Lookman’s decision to move from Atalanta to Atletico Madrid was an “amazing opportunity”.

He said: “After the triumph, I remember that Ademola himself didn’t understand the importance of his performance.

“Atletico is an amazing opportunity for Ademola. Finally, he is at a giant club.

“I actually believe he will score against Arsenal.”
