Popular Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has challenged ace thespian and filmmaker Funke Akindele to a celebrity boxing match, declaring: ‘Money has to be made’.
She issued the challenge to her colleague and friend recently in a now-trending video posted on her official Instagram page.
Her quest for a ring fight comes after Nigerian streamer and comedian Carter Efe defeated singer Portable in a celebrity boxing match.
The influencer got the better of the controversial singer on Friday during the celebrity fight held at Bamora Hall in Victoria Island, Lagos, to win the N50 million prize.
Beyond the prize money, Carter’s victory prompted Lagos-based socialite E-Money to gift him an additional N50 million to celebrate his win.
Prior to the contest, it was also reported that popular talent manager and music executive Soso Soberekon gave N40 million each to Carter Efe and Portable.
Confirming the development while explaining his loss, Portable wrote: “I had already been paid N40 million before the match; we were only fighting for the remaining N10 million.”
However, in a bid to partake in the largesse, Eniola Badmus challenged Funke Akindele to a fight, calling on E-Money and Soso Soberekon to sponsor the match.
She wrote: “Funke Akindele, let’s get in the boxing ring. It’s about time. Soso, E-Money, let’s get to it. No time. Money has to be made.”
