Iheanacho expresses joy after scoring winner in Celtic’s 2-1 win over Hibernian

Iheanacho recently scored two extra-time goals to help Celtic beat St Mirren in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden Park.

Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho has expressed his happiness at being the match-winner for Celtic once again, adding that he is glad to put smiles on the faces of the fans.

He made this known on Sunday while speaking to Celtic TV after helping the Scottish side win their away league fixture.

The 29-year-old came off the bench to net the winning goal in the Hoops’ 2-1 win over Hibernian at Easter Road on Sunday afternoon.

The feat means Iheanacho has now secured the winner for the third time in as many weeks for Celtic.

Prior to this latest victory, the Nigeria international came off the bench to net the winner for Martin O’Neill’s side against Dundee at Dens Park last month.

He also scored two extra-time goals to help Celtic beat St Mirren in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden Park.

Speaking after the victory, the former Manchester City star said he will keep doing his best for the team and ensure the fans, in particular, remain happy.

Iheanacho said: “I always feel great to come on and help the team get the win, so I’m happy today. The whole team is happy, and especially the fans.”
