Declan Rice reveals best moment at Arsenal after winning award

Declan Rice joined North London club,  Arsenal from local rivals, West Ham United for £105 million last summer

Arsenal midfielder, Declan Rice has stated that his best moment at the club so far was when he scored his first goal for the Gunners.

He made this known after he was crowned ‘Player of the Year’ at the London Football Awards on Thursday.

Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta missed out  on the Manager of the Year award to Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou and It was a double scoop for Spurs as Guglielmo Vicario was named Goalkeeper of the Year.

Chelsea was represented by Cole Palmer, who claimed the Young Player of the Year award. 

Speaking at The Roundhouse in Camden during the event, the England international, said his first goal for Arsenal against Manchester United was his best moment at the North London club.

He said: “There have been so many good moments so far, but I think due to the stature of the game I would have to say the goal against Manchester United was the best,” Rice said.

“It was my first goal for Arsenal – Alejandro Garnacho had one ruled out for offside five minutes before and then I took one down off my chin and put it in the back of the net so I was happy with that one.

“That was the best moment so far.”

Declan Rice joined Arsenal from London rivals, West Ham United for £105 million last summer.

The defensive midfielder has been impressive for the Gunners this season.
