Afrobeats star and music producer David Adeleke, better known as Davido, and Super Eagles strikers Victor Osimhen and Victor Boniface recently engaged in a lively debate.

The group, which included Cubana Chief Priest, gathered at the celebrity chef’s luxurious residence when the conversation shifted to a serious debate about Cristiano Ronaldo’s wealth.

During the conversation, Davido appeared unconvinced by rumours suggesting that the Portuguese’s wealth could be nearing the $5 billion mark.

While noting that having such billions today does not necessarily guarantee financial security forever, he argued that poor planning and bad decisions can affect anyone, regardless of their current status.

The ‘Electricity’ crooner further stressed that smart financial management remains important even for global super-stars.

Reacting to his take, Boniface defended the Portuguese football legend, insisting he has invested well.

The Bayer Leverkusen striker went on to point to the Al-Nassr striker’s numerous business interests, which include the globally recognised CR7 brand, hotels, endorsements, and other investments.

He argued that Ronaldo’s empire had grown beyond football and now generated revenue from multiple streams.

According to him, the football icon’s wealth is structured in such a way that spending millions daily would still not significantly affect his fortune.

Wading in as the debate intensified, Victor Osimhen introduced a different perspective to the subject.

The Turkey-based striker referenced former Nigerian international Wilson Oruma, whose financial difficulties after retirement became one of the most discussed cautionary tales in Nigerian football.
